Gregory Hines Dead at 57
Gregory Hines, dancer and actor, has died of cancer. I'd wager most of you knew him from Mel Brooks's History of the World, Part 1, in which he was very funny indeed. Along with Suzanne Farrell, he was one of the first dancers to enter my consciousness (thanks again, Sesame Street). He wasn't that old. Only 57. I'm dismayed. I really loved to watch him dance.
